2020 Field Allocations

Attached are the field allocations and training space map for team training for the 2020 season.

This season we will have in excess of 70 teams requiring room to train so while we have tried to accommodate all requests from coaches, we have not been able to do so in all cases. The teams highlighted in yellow are yet to submit a request to vicepresident@moorebanksoccer.org.au

All teams must observe these important rules:

  • Only players that have had their registration approved are permitted to train
  • Teams are to train ONLY in their allotted space and at the allotted time period
  • Be respectful of other teams and do not encroach in their area

Think safety at all times!

  • Around younger players training in adjacent spaces
  • Do not leave small children unattended after training
  • Remind your parents and players to take care in the poorly lit carpark after dark

All enquiries regarding training allocations are to be emailed to Lorraine at vicepresident@moorebanksoccer.org.au

National Football Curriculum

The Football Federation Australia (FFA) have released the second edition of the FFA National Football Curriculum to help facilitate a fundamental transformation of football in Australia. It contains Model Sessions for every phase and explains how to organise sessions and plan 6-week training cycles for a season. The Curriculum is a practical guide for coaches and players of every age, gender or level as well as their parents. It is freely available in pdf form here.

Coaching Resources

MSSC strongly supports the FFA’s long term National Football Development Plan and the National Curriculum which was implemented in 2009. Whilst there is a multitude of coaching resource websites, the following sites are highly recommended to all MSSC coaches. In particular, the Global Football System and S2S websites have been developed in conjunction with Football NSW and the FFA and provide a comprehensive range of age-group-specific training programs, drills, session and season planners, video demonstrations and free downloads. Coaches in the U6 to U9 age groups should also visit the FFA Optus Small Sided Football website (link located further below).
