Coach Accreditation Program

Under the Club’s Coach Accreditation Program, all junior age group coaches registered with the Club are provided with the opportunity to receive FFA coaching accreditation* as follows:

U6 to U7: Grass Roots Certificate (3hrs) – Fully Funded by MSSC;
U8 to U11: Junior Football License (14hrs) – Fully Funded by MSSC**;
U12 to U13: Youth Football Certificate (14hrs) – Fully Funded by MSSC**; and
U14 to U15: Youth Football License (14hrs) – 50% Funded by MSSC**.

* Subject to course availability.
** Coaches will receive a course fee rebate following successful course completion.

Small Sided Football Info

In the 2010 season, MSSC's Small Sided Football (SSF) age groups will include all U6-U9 mixed and U10 girls age groups (subject to sufficient numbers). These age groups will play non-competitive small sided games (in 4v4, 7v7 or 9v9 formats) in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) and the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association (SDSFA) Rules.

2010 Cocktail Function

In lieu of a formal presentation dinner, a cocktail function is being held for senior teams and guests at the New Brighton Golf Club on Saturday 30 October 2010 from 7pm.

Tickets cost $15 (includes finger food) and can be purchased from the Clubhouse on Wednesday 8 and 15 September between 6pm and 7pm. The venue has a maximum number so please be quick to get your tickets.

SDSFA Grand Finals - Thank You

The SDSFA Grand Final Event (for Div2+) held at Hammondville Park on the weekend of 21st and 22nd August 2010 was a huge success with a total of 33 grand final matches played over both days.

The MSSC Committee would like to thank all the wonderful, hardworking volunteer Club members who gave up their time to help with the field and venue preparation, canteen, BBQ and end-of-day cleanup work. You all did your Club proud by working tirelessly to showcase our great venue and are a major reason why the SDSFA continues to stage the annual event at Hammondville Park.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the SDSFA for once again giving our Club the privilege of hosting the event.

Congratulations to all the Premiers and Runners Up. Whether you won or lost on the day, it was a fantastic achievement to get to the Grand Finals. Special congratulations to our own U10-3s and U11-4s who were crowned Premiers on the Saturday. Well done.

Equipment Return

MSC Jersey bags and training bags are to be returned on Tuesday 31st August or Thursday 2nd September. Please have someone from your team return your washed and folded shirts between 6pm and 7pm on one of these nights. Please note that your team will not receive food and drink coupons on Presentation Day until your equipment is returned. Please do not wait until presentation day to return your gear. Thankyou.
