21^st May - Bossley Sports

A tough game and an even tougher game to lose. This game was a disappointing loss in many ways, the main reason being that we were by far the better side on the day. We dominated the play during the majority of the game, particulary in the first half where we kept the ball in their half of the field virtually the entire time. Some amazing build up and at times we even strung 5 passes together which is absolutely brilliant !!! Unfortunately the soccer Gods were not on our side and our efforts went unrewarded. We keep letting ourselves down in the attacking third which we will work on at training. A great nail biting game of soccer from our girls. Next time we play them I am confident we will come away with a win. Stats for this week.. 58% possession (down by 2%) 474 touches on the ball (up by 15 touches).. 228 passes (up by 44) and 22 string passes (up by 8) 6 shots resulting in 0 goals. We were back to our game this week which in regards to possession and passing is awesome. The goals will come and once they do there will be no stopping us !!!! Another super proud week

Lady of the Match:

Congratulations Cassie. Cassie had a great game in goals. She remained focused on the play which allowed her to be well positioned at crucial times. Her use of the goal area was definitely a major improvement in her game. She attacked the ball with intent fearlessly stopping 5 out of the 6 goal attempts. Absolutely nothing could be done about the one long lob that resulted in a goal. She did everything asked of a goal keeper and was an important part of our defense.
